Great Crowns & Smiles Dental Lab, a.k.a. GCS Dental Lab, is a hybrid dental lab located Louisville KY. Utilizing both analog and digital technology, we fabricate one-of-a-kind restoration for dental practices.
GCS Dental Lab specializes in aesthetic, fixed dental restorations with a combined experience of 50+ years. We are a professional dental team that has dedicated a life-long career in helping dentists create great crowns and restore the smiles for their patients in need.
GCS Dental Lab’s mindset is to deliver consistent quality, attention to detail in the fabrication of its products and personal service. We utilize quality materials that have helped dental practices to increase patients’ satisfaction, decrease chair time, and deliver glowing smiles
My Journey began in Guadalajara, Mexico 1985, where I studied the basis of dental technology under the stewardship of Trinidad Camacho Dental Lab’s learning facility.
In 1988, I moved to Southern California, found employment in Glidewell Laboratories. I had the opportunity to work with international Master Dental Technicians who inspired me to pursue my certification in Dental Ceramics in 1996.
In 2000, I moved to New Hampshire with my husband Paul Ramsey, who was a CDT and an US Air Force veteran. We opened a boutique dental lab specializing in Fixed Dental Prosthodontics. During this time, I attended SNHU and graduated with honors in Business Studies and Finance.
In 2016, I spread my wings and relocated to Louisville, KY. I founded and currently operate Great Crowns & Smiles Dental Lab (GCS Dental Lab). This is the place I plan to retire and make a mark in my personal and professional life.
My specialization is in Dental Ceramics, holding my CDT for over 28 years. I customized full contour smile designs and architecture frameworks for the application of ceramic powders on fixed and hybrid restorations: such as veneers, PFM, PFZi, AO4, and implants to create new smiles that resemble a natural look.
My passion is in making a positive impact in dentistry. Sculpturing tooth morphology with anatomical function is fun. Orchestrating the moving instruments of starting a dental hybrid lab and helping my team to learn the skills to create great crowns have been a treasure.
My hobbies are cycling on weekends, walking with my dog, practicing Yoga and growing gourmet tomatoes and herbs to share with my team and associates.
Owner of GCS Dental Lab, Sandra has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of dental lab leadership. She is a Certified Dental Technician specializing in Ceramics. Sandra has worked in one of the biggest commercial labs in the world and was part owner of a boutique lab in New Hampshire. Having these experiences has given Sandra an upper hand on how to maintain quality and consistency while delivering cases in a timely manner.
